The Belfry Hotel and Resort is an iconic, award-winning hotel located in Royal Sutton Coldfield, North Warwickshire.
Boasting 319 luxury bedrooms and suites, a wide range of restaurants and bars, extensive event and leisure facilities, and three championship golf courses - including the legendary Brabazon Course - the site is renowned for hosting international tournaments such as the British Masters, with The Brabazon hosting the Ryder Cup four times - the most of any venue worldwide.
In October 2023, we were engaged as part of a wider redevelopment project led by Amicus Property Consultants and The Elliott Group. Our remit focused on enhancing the hotel’s fire safety infrastructure in tandem with a significant upgrade to its Wi-Fi system across guest rooms and communal areas.
The challenge
The scale and prestige of The Belfry demanded a discreet and highly coordinated approach.
With work taking place in a live hospitality environment, minimising disruption to guests and operations was essential.
At the same time, the introduction of new cabling as part of the Wi-Fi upgrade presented potential fire safety risks that needed to be addressed quickly and in full compliance with all relevant regulations.
Our approach
We carried out comprehensive fire door maintenance and applied targeted fire stopping measures to all affected areas.
This included bedrooms and public spaces where new services were installed. All works were delivered under our Firas and LPCB third-party certification schemes, ensuring full traceability and assurance.

Our work helped The Belfry maintain its commitment to guest safety and regulatory compliance during a complex refurbishment.
The integration of our fire protection services with the upgraded digital infrastructure safeguarded both the fabric of the building and the well-being of its occupants.
